“Gettin’ Lit” will focus on combining the wonderful world of clay with the expansive and delicious world of craft cocktails! Each week we will explore new forms that enhance the experience of making, consuming and sharing your favorite libations. From whiskey sippers and stemmed vessels used for enjoying your favorite spirits; to the tools utilized in making the drinks come to life, such as juicers, jiggers and mixing vessels. Regardless if you prefer your drink shaken or stirred, this course will have something for everyone! Not only will we journey through the clay process of making these barware forms, but the quarter will end on a high note with a party featuring and utilizing the vessels made throughout the quarter with a little mixology 101 lesson! Cocktail tasting is highly encouraged, but not required.

Please note there is a $15 fee added to the class to cover the cocktail party at the end of the quarter.

I like to teach by leading with instruction and then letting each student explore their own creativity. Each of you will be guided and encouraged to explore your own personal styles as we move through the more advanced forms. Individuality is highly encouraged!

As this course is intended for intermediate/advanced students, please be prepared for an accelerated pace. Each week will introduce a new topic from beginning to completion.
