Becca Headline

Headline was introduced to ceramics in her sophomore year of college while attending the University of Wisconsin-Stout. There, she immediately fell in love with the art form and the making process as a whole. While at university, Headline studied abroad and attended the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland in their painting and printmaking program. Upon her return stateside she was an active member in the ceramic program at UW-Stout acting as a teachers assistant and studio aid. For two summers between semesters, she apprenticed in the Twin Cities (Minnesota) with Kevin CaufieId. Headline eventually graduated cum laude in 2013 receiving a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in ceramics.

Bio

After graduation, Headline left Minnesota to move to Seattle in early 2014 to pursue her love for the art as a studio assistant working and learning alongside Deb Schwartzkopf and George Rodriguez at Rat City Studios in West Seattle. Since then, Headline has been able to form a deeper connection to the Seattle clay community acting as a mentor/teacher as well as studio manager.
