This workshop is aimed at potters who are considering teaching, and instructors who are currently teaching throwing who would like more guidance as to what works best and tips to make the experience more enjoyable for all.

Pat will be demonstrating clay prep, centering, pulls, shaping, trimming, and will discuss various ways to talk to the students about how to learn all these things. Come with any and all questions, and workshop participants will be encouraged to share on the wheel what works for them.

There will be handouts describing a typical 10-week class schedule, a checklist for what you should cover on the first class session or two, and a list of issues that often come up during early classes.

Learn how to make students' first classes less frustrating and keep them coming back!

This workshop is open to Intermediate/Advanced Skill Levels who have an interest in teaching ceramics classes.
