Working with the living qualities of clay bodies can help us tune into the aliveness that exists within us. Using simple meditative and somatic practices, we will explore the ways we can deepen our relationship to ourselves through the experience of shaping with clay. The focus of this course will teach us be present with what is right now. In our three hours together, each student will take home a container that will be not only functional, but imbue a sense of grounding and presence for the user in their daily life. Examples include: mug or bowl, small vase, incense holder, candle holder.

Each student will be able to choose one piece to keep if they throw something they would like us to fire. Our studio techs will glaze and fire the work for you. Pieces will be ready for pick-up in 4-6 weeks.
