Looking for a taste of what it’s like to throw on a pottery wheel? Need an interesting idea for a date night? Do you just like playing in the mud? Come join us at Pottery Northwest for a clay night!

Guests will enjoy a fun and joyous evening alongside friends where they will learn the foundational basics of wheel throwing. Our instructor will give a demo on the basics of how a wheel works, how to center the clay on the wheel, and how to pull the clay into a simple form like a cylinder or a bowl. Then you get to try!

Wheel throwing is a complex skill and takes a long time to learn, so keep in mind that you may not be able to throw a complete form on your first try. View this as a fun experience of what wheel throwing is like!

Learn more about your instructor Irene Bernal.

Each student will be able to choose one piece to keep if they throw something they would like us to fire. Our studio techs will glaze and fire the work for you. Pieces will be ready for pick-up in 4-6 weeks.
