Spray Booth Training (Fall 2024)

In order to use the spray booth, students must attend a spray booth training/certification session or receive training from their instructor.

The spray guns will only be available to students who have attended one of these sessions.

This workshop will be most beneficial for students who make work that is difficult to glaze by dipping or brushing. This includes pieces such as large sculptures, wide platters, and tall vessels. Using the spray booth to glaze pieces can create various desirable effects, but it is most likely not going to be worth it to go through the trouble of certification, set-up, and clean-up for pieces that could easily be dipped. Using the spray booth is time-consuming and, just like any other ceramic technique, will take practice to get good at.

This workshop will be offered for free at least once per quarter to students who are enrolled in classes or studio access.
