This nine-week (see note) class is for those who are looking to hone their skills into a specific handbuilding style. Building on a knowledge of the basics, we will go over how to make larger and/or more intricate handbuilding projects using the techniques of slab, coil, and pinch. By the end of class, each student should have their own project and preferred building style.

I like to teach by leading with instruction, but then letting each student explore their own creativity. Each of you will be guided and encouraged to explore your own personal styles as we move through the more advanced forms. Individuality is highly encouraged! The final class will be dedicated to a fun gathering and potluck where students will discuss their works with each other and talk about what they’ve learned.

Note: Class will not be meeting on the first week of the quarter due to the instructor's availability. The first day of class will be starting a week later on Wednesday, September 24th. The tuition price has been adjusted accordingly!

This is a Next-Level class. Some clay experience is recommended.

On the first day of class, late arrivals beyond 15 minutes after the class start time will not be permitted to join. Returning students should still attend the first day of class as the instructor will not be able to reteach missed lessons and demos to absent students in the proceeding classes.
