Renewable Studio Access Fall 2025 Application

That's right! We've implemented renewable studio access! For those with a commitment to the studio who don't want to have to re-register every quarter, this is for you! Space is limited.

To be granted access in time to start for our Fall Quarter, you must apply no later than 10AM on Friday, September 5th. All applications after this date will be considered for our Winter Quarter start date.

Dream it and make it! Come and work independently in a collaborative and creative environment. Pottery Northwest provides a community studio that feeds inspiration and supports making. Studio Access is designed for experienced artists and makers who have the skills necessary to bring their ideas to fruition without instruction. Students enrolled in this program can come into the studio and make any time in an area not in use for a regularly scheduled class. 

Studio Access is intended for people with prior experience working with clay. You will get the most from your experience if you enjoy working independently and have a clear understanding of ceramic processes, including moving your work efficiently through the studio and glazing processes.  If you feel this is not a great fit for you, then please check out our other classes.

What's Included?

• Unlimited studio access during open studio hours every day for the duration of the quarter from 10AM to 9PM (the studio is now open on most holidays but Renewable access does not include in-between quarter breaks)
• Automatic enrollment in studio access each quarter.
• 1 personal full shelf for storage of tools, clay, & in-process work
• You can keep your shelf quarter-to-quarter.
• Communal tools and equipment
• Access to slab roller, extruder and spray booth (training required)
• Free glazes, oxides and slips
• Free, unlimited firings*

Eligibility: Studio Access is intended for Intermediate and Advanced ceramic makers who want to work independently in our studio. No instruction is included with a Studio Access membership.

Mandatory Orientation:  If you are new to the Pottery NW studio, or if you have not attended an orientation as of summer 2023 quarter, you must attend the mandatory orientation date to learn about studio policies and procedures. The orientation date for Fall 2025 Studio Access are:

• Saturday, September 13th, 10:00-11:00AM

Please Note:

• New studio access members who do not attend one of the mandatory orientations will be dropped from studio access without a refund.

• The fee for Studio Access does not include clay, which must be purchased from us.

 • We are in Pioneer Square, so please plan ahead so that you have enough time to park. You don’t want to miss anything!

* We are a community studio and cannot accommodate production level potters.
