Join us for a very special two-part mirror-making workshop with artist Ash Campbell. In this two-day workshop students will use and learn hand building techniques with the intention of building a small square or circle shaped mirror for your wall, or hand.

Day 1: Saturday, March 14th, 11:30 - 3:00PM

We will meet at Pottery Northwest at 11:30 AM to get settled and your instructor Ash will begin with an introduction to hand built mirrors and the components that bring the piece to life. Participants will learn how to roll slabs to create unique forms for displaying their mirror while making sure to measure accordingly to fit the mirror to the ceramic piece post-firing. Once your form is complete, and before leaving for the day, students will pick a glaze from our glaze wall to have applied to their piece. Our technicians will do a bisque fire of the works, followed by the respective glaze firing in preparation for Day 2.

Day 2: Saturday, April 4th, 12:00 - 3:00PM

A few moments later…. We will return to Pottery Northwest where participants will be reunited with their fired frames and the provided materials for completing your projects. Ash will guide the group through sanding of the ceramic piece and assembly of your mirror to the ceramic piece with the proper hanging mechanism. We will finish the day by reflecting and celebrating!
