Join us at Pottery Northwest for a very special two-part Ice Cream Bowl Workshop! Led by artist Nathan Stanfield, this workshop will focus on using handbuilding techniques, such as coil and slab, to build a bowl specifically for enjoying your favorite ice cream.
This is an All Levels workshop. Having some experience in clay helps but is not necessary.
Day 1: Saturday, May 16th, 12:00 - 3:00PM
We will begin the workshop at 12 PM sharp on Saturday at Pottery Northwest. Workshop participants should plan to arrive 15-30 minutes early to get comfy. We will begin with demos from Nathan covering the basics of coil building and slab building using the provided template. Participants will then spend the remaining time working on their bowls with guided instruction. Before leaving for the day, students will have the opportunity to select which glaze the PNW team will use on their bowls.
Day 2: Saturday, June 6th, 12 - 2:00PM
Participants will meet back at Pottery Northwest for a lunchtime Ice Cream Social. We will convene over a few dairy (and non-dairy) options of ice cream while celebrating what we accomplished together.
We believe clay is for everyone! Need tuition assistance? Please send us an email at info@potterynorthwest.org for more information.
