Get into the spirit this season with a festive introduction to working with clay! In this 3-hour, handbuilding workshop, you will learn how to build your very own Holiday Luminary using basic handbuilding techniques — no prior clay experience needed.
A tiny tower with lights? A glowing Christmas tree? A chimney that acts as an incense holder? Since this project is fairly customizable, bring your unique ideas and come get festive while letting your creativity guide you. Students will be guided through all the steps of the process - coming up with a design, preparing the clay, building your piece and finishing with surface decorations.
Come solo or bring a friend — it’s the perfect seasonal activity to get your hands messy, make something useful, and leave with a mug full of memories.
This is an All-Levels Workshop. All skill levels are welcome, no prior clay experience required.
Minors (ages 10+) are permitted if they are accompanied by an adult.
We believe clay is for everyone! Need tuition assistance? Please send us an email at info@potterynorthwest.org for more information.
