Interested in learning a bit about throwing on the pottery wheel, creating a piece that'll last a lifetime, or maybe you're looking for a fun date night idea. Come join us at Pottery Northwest for our Holiday Wheel Night!
Guests will enjoy a fun, and festive evening learning the foundational skills of throwing on the pottery wheel. Our instructor will give a demo on the basics of how a wheel works, how to center the clay on the wheel, and how to pull the clay up and into form. Then you get to try!
Wheel throwing is a complex skill and takes a long time to learn, so keep in mind that you may not be able to throw a complete form on your first try. View this as a fun experience of what wheel throwing is like!
Each student will be able to choose one piece to keep from the class and our studio staff will glaze and fire the work for you. Pieces will be ready for pick-up in 4-6 weeks from your class date and an email will be sent to everyone registered once they are ready.
We believe clay is for everyone! Need tuition assistance? Please send us an email at info@potterynorthwest.org for more information.
