Let’s explore your creative potential in this self-directed, project-based class designed for ceramicists who are looking for nuanced guidance and advanced skill-building. Under the guidance of Joey Nuñez—an expert mold maker, sculptor, glaze chemist, and skilled ceramic artist—students will define personal goals and receive individualized mentorship to bring their visions to life.

Students will have an opportunity to learn about advanced techniques in ceramics including mold-making, basic glaze formulation, advanced hand-building, figure sculpting and sculpting with armatures. Students should come prepared with ideas, curiosity, and a desire to push their practice forward.

This is an Advanced Level class. This class best suits students with prior ceramics experience and a clear direction for their work goals.
