Brushwork Compote, 2026, Glazed Porcelain, 5 x 10 x 10 inches. Retail Value: $110.

Sam Scott is an artist from Seattle working predominately with porcelain on the wheel. His work explores functional simplicity and the contrast of matte brush strokes on top of the dense white surface of clay, an approach that results in his signature black and white aesthetic. Scott studied at the University of Washington, working with renown artists Robert Sperry, Patti Warashina, and Howard Kottler.
