Originally from Maryland, Jess lived in Richmond, VA for 10 years before moving to Seattle in 2021. They have worked in clay since 2017. The majority of their work is wheel-thrown while experimenting with altering and serious surface development. They found clay while looking for a creative outlet outside of their social work career doing in-home counseling with children and teens. Eventually, they realized clay is a true calling. Jess also loves camping and hiking, traveling solo, good cinema, talking about their cat, cooking for loved ones, rock climbing, being obnoxiously competitive in games, and trading with artist friends.
