Jersey Repsch

Jersey Repsch grew up in the heart of Seattle on Capitol Hill and returned to his hometown in late 2022 after 15 years away, with 10 of those years spent in Chicago. He is a longtime hospitality industry professional, having filled many roles both front of house and back of house, and even spent 3 years working for a luxury ingredients purveyor dealing truffles out the back of a van to Chicago’s most celebrated chefs. He came to pottery by way of linecooking and his passion for serving forth beautifully plated food. He loves the collaborative aspect of crafting pots for restaurant use, working with the chef to design plateware that is in direct conversation with the food. Jersey counts the chefs who mentored him in kitchens as equally influential on his practice as the artists he’s learned from in community ceramics studios. He is currently an apprentice at Pottery Northwest.
